Being a successful eBay seller now requires more time and effort than it did in the past. There once was a time when simply listing any item would likely result in a sale. Those days are now gone. One of the more recent changes by eBay is that which allows them to charge sellers a final value fee based on the total amount of the sale, plus any shipping charges. This change was met with much opposition on the part of sellers. However, eBay defended this change based on the fact that buyers prefer free or low cost shipping.
