Non-profits contribute to the health and well being of society, and for that reason they are extremely important. However, non-profits face many resource challenges that can dampen the morale of volunteers and paid staff. One of the ways to strengthen the corporate culture and boost morale is to develop high impact meetings that allow solutions to emerge as contributors collaborate together.
Defining a Non-Profit Organization
A non-profit organization exists (Murray 2009: 3) to accomplish some specific mission. It does not exist for either profit or to serve the political process. Non-profits can be made up of either all paid staff, or all volunteers, or a combination of both paid staff and volunteers. The non-profit sector comprises (Bourgeois, 2006:1) health care, education, recreation, social services, culture and community engagement.
